Technical Operations

Uptime & Retention

How does SystemPulse calculate monthly uptime percentages?

We aggregate status check results from our global probe network across 14 regions. Each successful HTTP, TCP, or ICMP ping within a 60-second window counts as one data point. Monthly uptime is calculated as (Total Successful Checks / Total Scheduled Checks) × 100. We exclude scheduled maintenance windows approved by your account manager and force majeure events as defined in our SLA v4.2. Results are rounded to two decimal places and updated every 15 minutes.

What is the data retention policy for historical metrics and logs?

Raw metric data and application logs are retained for 90 days on the Standard plan and 365 days on the Enterprise tier. Aggregated time-series data is stored indefinitely in our cold storage layer for trend analysis. Alert history and incident timelines are preserved for the lifetime of your account. You can export any dataset via our REST API or the CSV bulk download tool before retention windows expire.

Billing & Account Management

Payments & Refunds

What is the procedure for requesting a service refund?

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of your initial invoice through the Billing tab in your dashboard. We review each case against our uptime SLA guarantees and service disruption logs. If your monitored endpoints experienced less than 99.9% availability during the billing cycle, we automatically credit the prorated difference. For non-SLA related cancellations, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on annual commitments, provided no custom integrations have been provisioned.

How are overage fees calculated for additional monitored endpoints?

Plans include a fixed baseline of monitored targets. Any endpoint added beyond your tier limit incurs a $12.50 monthly fee per active monitor. Overage calculations are based on the highest concurrent count reached during the billing cycle, not the average. You can set budget alerts at 80% and 100% of your endpoint limit to prevent unexpected charges. Invoices are generated on the 1st of each month and payable via wire transfer, ACH, or major credit card.
